Improvement

Adjusted swapping rules
We've updated the smart swapping rules to
make this feature easier to understand and use.
Take a look on the left to see what's possible
with smart swapping!
You can now swap text of any size, as long as it
shares the same appearance (like font, style, and
color). The rules for images and shapes stay the
same: They should be the same type and of
similar size.

Better image performance
Images and GIFs will load much faster across
both the web and desktop apps!
Performance improvements should be especially
noticeable when using the desktop app. Before,
loading images and other assets could result in a
high CPU load, triggering the fan to kick in on
Macs. Now the team at Pitch will be your
noisiest fans.

Updated template picker
The template picker has received a nice little
makeover.
We now promote your workspace's templates to
the top of the template picker so you can get
started faster. Our custom-created templates
aren't going anywhere, though. You'll nd those
in a new section below.

Multi-tab support (web app)
Pitch now works across multiple browser tabs.
So go ahead, create a bunch of presentations at
work. Or copy off of a colleague's presentation.
(Don't worry, we won't tell. )

If you try to close or reload a tab before all
changes are synced in an active presentation,
you'll receive a helpful alert.

Clearer presentation
permissions
We love a tidy workspace. At Pitch, we're big
fans of folders.
However, there are still some limits to how much
you can tidy. For instance, if someone has shared
a presentation with you, you won't be able to
move that presentation into a folder. It's theirs
to move, not yours. We've added an alert to clear
this up.

Inline text colors in color picker
The text color picker now includes your recently
used inline text colors.
No more scurrying back to previous slides to
copy over the hex code. It'll be right there
waiting for you.

Bug Fixes

💅 Accent colors in presentation styles will reliably adjust hyperlinks.

Due to a bug, accent colors weren't re ected in hyperlinks. From now on, the
accent colors in your presentation styles will always dictate the colors of
hyperlinks and bullet points.

🖼 Images can be panned multiple times.

Panning an image (pressing shift + option and then dragging with your
mouse) would stop working after the rst pan. Now you can pan as much as
you'd like. (Didn't know this option existed? Check out this brief video
walkthrough to learn more!)

🏡 Presentations can be dragged back into the Home folder.

Home is where the heart is, and where your presentations should be. For a
short while, there was a bug that prevented your presentations from going
home — speci cally to the Home folder in your dashboard.

Bug Fixes

🔤 Custom fonts will display correctly across workspaces.

Before, if you created a presentation with custom fonts and then moved that
presentation to another workspace, dashboard previews of your presentation
wouldn't show the right font. With this x, your previews will match the fonts
used in your presentation.

🎨 Duplicate colors in text color picker are gone.

No, you weren't dealing with three very similar shades of black in the color
picker. For a while, duplicate colors would show up in the text block color
picker. We've removed these so that only unique colors are displayed.

shift + click will select and deselect blocks as expected.

Typing shift and clicking on blocks to select multiple elements, or to deselect
individual ones, wasn't behaving consistently; i.e., some clicks did nothing.
Now, every click has meaning. Isn't that comforting?

Bug Fixes

💻 Text blocks will no longer paste as code inside tables.

Copying an entire text block and then pasting it into a table cell would paste
the underlying code. Now you can copy the text block or select the text inside
— both should paste perfectly.

📋 Duplicated bulleted lists will contain the correct attributes.

Text blocks with bulleted lists would paste incorrectly if inline elements like
font were changed. The new blocks would contain errors like incorrect
indentation or bullet colors. And now they don't!

📜 Typing text that goes outside the slide area won't scroll the canvas.

Adding and editing text outside of a slide's "no- y zone" would cause the
canvas to scroll, with no option to return to the normal view. You can still
enter text that goes outside of a slide, if you really really want to, but the app
will no longer scroll to follow it.

Bug Fixes

🖱 Right-click context menus will stay inside the window of the web app.

The right-click context menus will adjust — either moving menu options up or
down — to make sure nothing moves out of the web app.

💬 Mentions popover in comments will have a max height.

Typing @ to mention a collaborator in a comment would create a very long
popover in large workspaces. This x ensures the popover has a max height.

⌨ Placeholder text will be editable for new keyboard-created presentations.
This bug primarily affected keyboard shortcut users. When creating a new
presentation from the keyboard and adding new slides, placeholder text
would be in a focused state, but not editable without rst using your mouse.

Bug Fixes

🔢 Numbered lists will have the correct spacing.

Before, if you were making a long list (e.g., The top 12 things I love about Pitch),
the double-digit numbers would overlap with the text. Similarly, some
monospaced fonts would result in oddly spaced numbered lists. We've xed
this so you can create beautiful lists that go on, and on, and on ...

⌨ Keyboard shortcuts will still work if selection area

If you used your mouse to drag and select an object, keyboard shortcuts would
be disabled if the selection ended outside of the slide. That meant you couldn't
use your keyboard to delete, move, or otherwise change a block. With this x,
keyboard shortcuts will always work.
