How Pitch uses AI
Here’s an overview of how Pitch uses artificial intelligence within its product.
Overview
Pitch is a presentation platform for teams that rely on decks to win work. While AI is used in specific features to improve the user experience, the majority of the product functionality doesn’t depend on AI.
AI-powered features
- Presentation generator: Pitch’s presentation generator is a feature that assists users in quickly creating a deck draft.
Users provide a written prompt describing their desired presentation. AI is then used to interpret the prompt and generate an initial set of slides, including structure and draft text.
The generated content is fully customizable, and users are expected to review and modify it as needed.
- Text tools: Pitch includes optional text editing tools that use AI to perform specific transformations on selected text within a slide.
Example actions include: shorten text, lengthen text, formalize text, and simplify text.
These tools apply localized edits and are designed to assist with writing and formatting tasks.
Data handling and privacy
AI features are applied only when a user explicitly engages with them.
Customer presentation data isn’t used to train AI models.
All AI processing is conducted in accordance with Pitch’s data protection and privacy standards.
External sharing
When presentations are shared externally — for example, via shared links, exports, or downloads — no AI systems are involved in the generation, transmission, or display of those documents.
Shared documents are static and reflect the user’s own content at the time of sharing.
Pitch doesn’t use AI to analyze, modify, or monitor externally shared materials.
Summary
Pitch uses AI in limited, user-initiated contexts to improve content creation and editing workflows. The platform’s core functions — such as collaboration, design, sharing, and presentation delivery — don’t rely on AI technologies.
