If you payed attention to the last mayoral race, you might have an opinion about tax breaks for Briarcliff Village. Whatever. Check out the posh shopping center’s new Trezo Mare Ristorante (4105 North Mulberry Drive, 816-505-3200), where there’s fusion-inspired seafood as well as a classy vibe that isn’t too stuffy, all in a building that feels like a stone castle. Bonus: $1 off all drinks and three-for-the-price-of-two appetizers from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
During happy hour, there’s a large selection of wines and tropical concoctions such as the blackberry mojito. The hors d’oeuvres on special, such as dungeness crab cocktail or sea-scallop ceviche, are meant to be shared.
