Kevin Yoder's Campaign Dog

What a good-looking dog. It's a golden retriever, seemingly as American as apple pie and Bill O'Reilly. At least we think it's a retriever, perfectly well-behaved, its tongue sweetly hanging out of its mouth as it lies at the feet of state Rep. Kevin Yoder, his wife and their two adorable girls in Yoder's re-election campaign photos. Actually, we're not quite sure what it is. We don't even know the dog's name, because Yoder wouldn't give us any details about the photogenic pooch. See, the pup wasn't Yoder's. Neither were the two little girls (his nieces). We don't know whether the dog has Yoder family ties or was hired from a modeling agency, but we do know that Yoder used the faux family photos in ads for his House race, which he won, against Democrat Alex Holsinger. At least that was Yoder's real wife in the ads — we think.
