Kansas City Explorers vs. Newport Beach Breakers
Published on July 17, 2008
Mike and Bob Bryan seem like a Disney Channel show turned into reality: identical twins both make it big in tennis and end up playing as the world's No. 1 pair. When the Bryan brothers knock into each other in their signature chest bump, it looks like somebodys running into a mirror. Mike is even right-handed, while Bob plays with his left.
Catch the duo as part of the Kansas City Explorers tennis team, which takes the court today at Barney Allis Plaza (12th and Wyandotte). This is the Explorers 16th season in the World TeamTennis league, which regularly showcases the tennis world's up-and-comers. Tickets costs $25 for grandstand or $50 for box seats. Call 816-513-5630.
