Go Sox?

Published on July 03, 2008

If you've been reading these pages since April, you know that we've been looking for some reason for you to go to a Royals game. We've suggested that you concentrate on the young talent. We've hoped that you'd head out for giveaways, from rhinestone-covered hats to rally rackets. We've even pimped manager Trey Hillman's raging mullet. But if you're planning to be at Kauffman Stadium at 1:10 p.m. for the Royals vs. White Sox game, chances are you fall into one of three camps: a diehard fan, the recipient of free tickets or a Chicago native. Let's face it, the Royals season has been over since May. So go out and cheer on those first-place Sox, or simply cry yourself into a seventh-inning stupor. If you're actually going to pay for them, tickets run $9 to $37. See kcroyals.com for more info.
