Download: All of Weve Only Just Begun by Tactic via ZShare
It didn't take long for DJ Candlewax and Ben Fuller to became peeved by the lack of trendsetting in their respective sub-circles. Candlewax is a former indie-ground hip-hop head, and Fuller is a former drum-'n'-bass DJ. However, since joining forces as the spinning-remixing-duo Tactic, they've blazed a trail for the all-encompassing, quirky-remix set in KC. Their latest tour mix, We've Only Just Begun, is meant to leave their curious crowds with something to remember them by. The best moment on the mix is the amalgamation of Blaqstarr's "Shake It to the Ground (Drop the Lime Remix)," with its sorely needed dance remix of Kanye's "Flashing Lights." Even the synth-pop selections by the likes of Jacque Lu Cont and Surkin are appetizing enough to lure most traditional EDM heads away from their skepticism of the fashionable French club sound. For ex-ravers and retired backpackers who are seeking greener pastures, this mix is manna from heaven.
